Dear Sophomores,
Access Barnard is looking for mentors who are willing to support a group of newly admitted students. The Access Barnard Peer Mentoring Program matches incoming students with a Junior mentor to support their transition to the college community. Mentors introduce strategies and resources to help incoming students become comfortable, confident and capable of academic success in college. Mentors are paid $16 an hour and requires a commitment of 1-2 hours per week.
To be a mentor you must:
- Be a rising Junior
- Be enrolled as a full-time Barnard student (at least 12 credits)
- Be in good academic and social standing
- Genuine desire to help newly admitted students navigate the Barnard experience
- Demonstrated leadership potential
